In one of the most bizarre comparisons ever made, conservative columnist Andrew Bolt suggests that The Dark Knight is a valid analogy of George W. Bush and his policies & actions.
FINALLY Hollywood makes a film that says President George W Bush was right.
But director Christopher Nolan had to disguise it a little, so journalists wouldn’t freak and the film’s more fashionable stars wouldn’t walk.
So he hides Bush in a cape. He even sticks a mask on him, with pointy ears for some reason.
Our ADSL modem/router has been slowly dieing over the past few months, with more and more disconnects and decreased performance.
Well I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to a Billion 7404VGP-M. And wow, what a difference! I’d heard many good things about Billion in the past but have now been able to experience it first hand.
So far, up-time has been perfect and ping times have improved by about 10-20 ms.
I’d highly recommend Billion to anyone considering their options.
Wow. I’ll begin by saying that The Dark Knight is a worthy sequel to the excellent Batman Begins.
As the title implies, it’s a much darker and more intense story than the first, focusing on what Batman must do in order to counter the chaos and anarchy of The Joker.
All of the actors were fantastic. I was skeptical when I first heard that Ledger was playing Joker, but it turns out that he was excellent.
Though 2 hours and 30 mins, the film screams along at a fast pace, jam-packed with action, and barely lets you catch your breath during the ride.
This delightful pinot noir from Mornington, Victoria is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
It has “truly varietal characters of strawberry, some stem notes with some lovely fragrant notes of violets as well” and the “palate is plush and soft with excellent acidity and no obvious tannin”. At least, that’s what they say.
Better late than never! We recently flicked onto an episode of Arrested Development and within minutes were hooked in. So we’re now watching season 1 on DVD.
It’s sharp, fast, witty and hilarious, all rolled into one.
Apparently when it aired the critics loved it but the plebs didn’t, so it only lasted three seasons. But a spin-off movie is in pre-production.
Luiz Felipe Scolari’s decision to take the Chelsea managerial post could be a nasty double-punch to Man Utd’s gut.
Firstly, during Euro 2008, Scolari publicly encouraged Cristiano Ronaldo to make his “dream move” to Real Madrid. Undoubtedly Scolari would prefer to watch Ronaldo on TV rather than in person running against Chelsea’s defenders.
Secondly, Scolari’s departure as the Portugal manager has left a position vacant there, and it turns out that the Man Utd assistant coach/manager Carlos Queiroz (much beloved by both Sir Alex and Ronaldo) is interested in the role.
Whether both of these transfers actually transpire remains to be seen and blogged about.
After the New York Times published an article suggesting FOX News’ rivals were closing in on its dominant ratings, the FOX News show Fox & Friends decided to respond.
Here’s a clip from Fox & Friends:
The problem is, the photos they used of the NY Times author and editor were Photoshopped, as Media Matters reported.
